Over 150,000 jobs are up for grabs as the Department of Labor and Employment holds one of the largest job fair this year happening at the Luneta Grandstand on June 12, 2009 Independence day.

Dubbed as the Kalayaan 2009 Mega Job and Livelihood Fair is a three-day event that caters jobs from private companies and government agencies. The job fair will happen from June 12 to 14, 2009.

950 companies are set to participate and give job opportunities, both from private and local agencies. Overseas Jobs will also be catered on June 14, 2009 with the cooperation of Philippine Overseas Employment Agency who promised to give away 75,000 jobs abroad.

Aside from giving job opportunities, DOLE will also conduct free seminar on livelihood and career advancement.

Instead of the traditional way of commemorating the Independence Day, the government focused on by giving jobs to our unemployed fellowmen.
