How to Schedule a DFA Passport Appointment Online

Jun 9, 2009

To avoid long lines and unnecessary trip to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the government agency encourages passport applicants to schedule an appointment first before heading to their office.

Not all passport applicants though can avail of the DFA Passport Appointment System. It is only available open to new applicants, those who are applying for renewal and for senior citizens (applicants more than 60 years old). Those who have lost their passports and want to apply for a new one, they have to personally go at the Gate 2 of the DFA, Pasay City to schedule an appointment.  Here are the steps one should do to be able to schedule an appointment on the web.

1. Go the website of the DFA at http://www.dfa.gov.ph. Fill out the required information at this link: http://dfa.gov.ph/form/app3/index.html and submit.

2. To request an appointment, you need to provide the following details:

a. Full name of applicant (first name, middle name and surname)
b. Date of birth
c. Place of birth
d. Latest Passport Number and Date of Issuance
e. Valid personal e-mail address

3. After requesting for an appointment, wait for one week or seven days before your appointment is confirmed. The DFA Passport Office will give you the date, time and reference number that you will need in your passport application.

4. Make sure that you are at the DFA Passport Office (Special Area for those with appointments) at the confirmed designated date and time for the filing of the passport application.
