As tourism industry soars in the Middle East, the demand for workers in hotel and restaurant are also increasing. Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) can now apply for various positions in hotel and restaurant as UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain open its doors for Filipino workers.

“Waiters, baristas, room attendants and other hotel/restaurant jobs are now in demand abroad,” Rocksolid Manpower Network and Consultancy, Inc. announced.

Aside from Middle East, RockSolid says that restaurant jobs such as food server, cooks and barista are also available in Canada and USA. 

Rocksolid, a Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) licensed agency, is currently accepting applicants for hotel and restaurant positions. Qualified applicants will be chosen and interviewed by direct employers.

The agency is currently looking for applicants for the following positions:

• Waiters, Barista and Kitchen staffs for Tony Roma restaurant in UAE. Under International Trading Franchises (POEA Reg.# 10062434), they will conduct interview on September 14 and 15.
• Hansan Mansouri Group (POEA Reg. #10118974) owner of various hotels, restaurants and country club in Bahrain are looking for Operation Mangers for Mansouri Mansion Hotel. They will conduct final selection interviews sometime in October, 2009. Application for manpower pooling is on going.
• Service/Maintenance Technicians for hotel’s kitchen equipments bound for UAE. Screening and interview is on going.

For position waiter, barista, kitchen staff, and hotel staff applicants must be at elast college level with at least 2 yaers experience working in hotel and restaurant. For operation manager and service/maintenance technicians, applicants must be college gradtuate with 2-3 years experience working in hotel and restaurant.
