Q: What is your stand in the ongoing impeachment trial of Chief Justice Corona?
Corona is guilty of all the charges against him.
Corona is not guilty, just a victim of a conspiracy.
I have no interest in the impeachment trial of Corona.

Danish Shipping Firm To Hire 100 Seamen

Oct 27, 2009

The Philippine Embassy in Norway said in a report to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) that Norway-based shipping firm, A.P. Moller-Maersk will be replacing 100 of their Danish ship captains with Filipinos as the firm find satisfaction with Filipino’s skills, proficiency and work discipline.

“The company is extremely satisfied with the proficiency, skill and discipline of Filipino seafarers and that despite the global economic crisis, crewing Filipino seamen has not slackened,” said Maersk director of recruitment Leif Nielsen.

A closed door meeting between Philippine Ambassador to Oslo Elizabeth Buensuseco and Maersk group of companies’ officers took place to talk about the company’s intention in hiring Filipino seafarers.

Maersk is one of the world’s leaders in container shipping and logistics, energy exploration and production, ship-building, retail and manufacturing.

The shipping firm is also planning to move their logistical operations in Singapore by year 2010 making it easier to Filipinos to find employment and relocate their training centers for their worldwide logistics requirements in Manila.

Maersk is looking forward to recruit hundreds of Filipino ship captains and seamen as soon as possible.

The continuous hiring of Filipino seamen by international employers proves that the Philippines produce a quality of manpower with enough knowledge and skills on their respective fields.

Buensuseco on the other hand presented her credentials to the Queen Margrethe II of Denmark at the Copenhagen last October 16. The Queen later extends her sympathy to the victims of recent typhoons and wishes President Gloria Arroyo good luck.
