Saudi-Based Mining Company Needs Filipino Workers

Ma’aden Gold and Base Metals Company, one of the largest mining companies in Saudi Arabia and entire Middle East is now hiring hundreds of mining workers as the company expands operation.

Overseas recruitment firm Industrial personnel and Management Services, Inc. (IPAMS) will be the partner agency of Ma’aden and will be the one responsible for the initial screening of applicants. IPAMS is accredited and noted as one of the top agencies in the country by the Philippines Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).

Ma’aden a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Mining Company is looking for highly skilled and competitive workers for the following positions:

• Miners/Mine Drillers

-         Must have at least four (4) years experience preferably in operating Atlas capco, Sandvick surface, drilling rig machines and any related tasks.

-         Knowledge in operating underground mining equipments such as jumbos, scoop trams, etc.

• Auto Electricians

-         Must have at least three (3) years experience as auto electricians in an industrial company.

-         Must have wide knowledge and skills in repair and maintenance for electrical components of the company’s heavy mobile plant, commercial vehicles, light vehicles, and other vehicles serviced at the surface or underground workshop.

• Heavy Equipment Mechanics

-         Must have at least three (3) years experience.

-         Must have knowledge and skills in servicing and repairs of mining and earth moving equipment and underground safety mining practices.

• Mine Surveyors

-         Must have at least five (5) years experience and has knowledge in computer survey software such as SURPAC, AutoCAD Spreadsheets, etc.

• Senior Draftsman

-         Must have at least five (5) years experience.

• Metallurgist

-         Must have a college diploma in BS Metallurgical, Mineral or Chemical Engineering.

-         Must have at elast four (4) years experience in metallurgical work in a mining industry.

• Maintenance Planner

-         Must hold a college diploma in BS Mechanical/ Electrical or Civil engineering.

-         Must have at least five (5) years work experience in a multi-dicipline maintenance work in a mining industry.

• Senior Mine Planning Engineers

-         Must hold a degree in BS Mining Engineering

-         Must have at least three (3) years of experience in a mining industry.

• Mine Geologists

-         Must hold a diploma in BS Geology or Mining Geology

-         Must have at least two (2) years experience in underground mining.

-         Must have wide knowledge and skills in geological software such as SURPAC.

• Mill General Foreman

-         Applicants must have at least eight (8) years of experience in mill operations in a mining industry.

• Mine Shift Boss

-         Applicants must have experience in supervising shift workers assigned in underground mining and coordinating activities such as rock bolting, drilling, blasting, loading, haulage and mucking of ore and rock, examining equipment and assigning equipment for repair as required, among others.

• Mill Shift Boss

-         Must have at elast eight (8) years experience in processing and milling operations which includes scientific and mill technology training.

• Senior Exploration Geologist

-         Candidates must hold a diploma in BS Geology major in Mineral resources, Mining or Earth Sciences.

-         Must have at elast seven (7) years of experience in exploration or mining industry.
