Q: What do you think about the deployment ban in Iraq?
It should be lifted because there are job opportunities for OFWs there.
The ban is necessary for the protection of OFWs.
I don't care about this issue.

DFA Releases Schedule of Mobile Passport Services

Jul 14, 2010

As the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) strives to make the passport application system faster and easier for all, they have released the schedule of their passport mobile services for this month until November of this year. Through this mobile passport service program, the DFA goes to different local government units all over the country to make it possible for people who for some reason find it difficult to go to the DFA main office to obtain a passport.

So check out the schedule below to see if the DFA mobile passport service would be near your area in the coming days. Catch them in your local municipality and take advantage of the opportunity to conveniently get a passport.

Things You Should Know About The Mobile Services

  • The Mobile Passport Services of the DFA is in accordance with the Philippine Passport Act of 1996 and its implementing rules and regulations, other relevant Department Orders, Circulars and Memoranda.
  • Those who wish to participate in the Mobile Passport Services should inform the Passport Coordinator assigned by the Local Government Unit (LGU) in advance. They should fill up and submit the application form to the designated LGU Passport Coordinator at least two weeks in advance of the scheduled date of the mobile passport service.
  • The time and date when the passport application can be filed will be provided by the LGU Passport Coordinator (the schedule of the Mobile passport Service).
  • All applicants are required to personally appear except those who are 8 years old and below and senior citizens who are 65 years old and above.
  • The Mobile Passport Service will not accept applications for the replacement of lost valid passports but will entertain applications for lost expired passports.
  • The Mobile passport fee is same with the Expedite Rate.
