Medical Center in Dubai Offers Free Health Check-up To OFWs

Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) based in the city of Dubai in United Arab Emirates (UAE) can take advantage of a free medical consultation and health check up to be conducted by a medical center in the said city, the Prime Medical Center.

The free services would happen in the three branches of Prime Medical Center during the whole Ramadan period. According to the report that appeared in Khaleej Times, it is scheduled every Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm in the following branches:

• Branch located adjacent to the BurJuman Metro station along the Trade Center Road towards Creekside in Bur Dubai= August 20
• Salahuddin Road opposite Reef Mall in Deira = August 27
• Jumeirah Plaza along Beach Road in Jumeirah= September 3

The Director of the Prime HealthcareGroup, Dr Jamil Ahmed said that the free health check up is part of the community outreach of their company. A Filipino medical doctor will be part of the project. Dr. Daffodils Guevarra will be the one to handle visitors who will undergo blood pressure measurement and blood sugar check.

Guevarra is a specialist in rehabilitation medicine, has experience in general medical cases like hypertension, diabetes, asthma, back/neck/shoulder pain and chest pain, among others.
