Philippine Passport Application Status in Malaysia can now be checked on line
Audrey, Sep 18, 2014
The Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur posted a good news in their facebook account, stating that applicants for new Philippine passport or for renewals can check the status through the Embassy's Passport Finder.
Applicants need to provide the Philippine Passport Application number which can be found in the receipt given to them by the encoders at the end of the passport application process. They just have to enter the application number in the space provided on the page and then click submit.
The page will only show the applicant's full name, application number and the Philippine passport status. The system is available only for applicants at the office in Kuala Lumpur, according to the embassy.
The Philippine Embassy also advised that arrival of Philippine passport from Manila may take two to three months, but they added that the list is updated every time that a new batch of Philippine passport was received from Manila.
For those who have applied for new passports or passport renewal at the Embassy's consular service in Sabah, they can call at +603 2148 4233 ext 103 or email klpe_malaysia@yahoo.com at least two months after their application to know its status.
