Understanding the EPS-KLT

Take and pass the KLT.

 

Upon passing the exam, submit your medical certificate to POEA.

 

Wait for the Results from Korea-HRD.

 

Chosen applicants will receive a call from GPB-POEA and will be offered a working contract from three to five years.

 

The hired applicant should apply for a working visa at the Korean Embassy in Makati City and will undergo the Pre-departure Training of POEA, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Occupational Health Safety and Health Center (OSHC), and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

 

The worker will shoulder airfares/airplane ticket. However, POEA offers a special airfare rates for OFWs so the total fees will only amount to Php 30,000.

 

All submitted documents will be strictly checked and screened by POEA personnel. Papers of applicants with incomplete requirements will not be processed.

 

Applicants with complete profiles will be included in the electronic or online system of Korea-HRD, This is the list where Korean employers choose among the roster of applicants. Employers are allowed only to view five to ten profiles per vacant position. The viewing of profiles is based on the application number and profile.

 

The chosen applicant will be sent to the Korea-HRD will inform GBP-POEA

 

Passing the EPS-KLT will give you a chance to be included in the Profile List and be chosen by Korean employers. However it does not guarantee 100% employment. There is a waiting period from one month to one year after passing the exam. However, there are also some KLT passers who never got hired.

 

Reminders:

The results for the May 6 KLT was announced last May 25. The results came from the International Korean language Foundation. Successful applicants will receive a certificate that is valid for two years. The names are posted at the POEA website.
