Construction-Related Jobs in Australia and New Zealand

Professional and skilled Filipino workers are very much needed in Australia and New Zealand and the two countries wants to hire Filipino workers. This is according to Jerphi Overseas and Trading Corporation, a licensed Philippine recruitment agency.

Jerphi Overseas and Trading Corporation formed a partnership with two well-known manpower supply companies in Australia and New Zealand for the recruitment of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to the countries mentioned above.

 

The president of Jerphi Overseas and Trading Corporation, Cherry Cleary, said that they have signed an agreement with Australia’s Winner Executive Recruitment Service of Victoria sought to help of Jerphi Overseas and Trading Corporation to fill up the demand for skilled workers in Australia and their partnership are sealed by an agreement.

 

According to Cherry Cleary, the following positions are waiting to be filled up in Australia due to the boom in the construction industry. Australia (particularly in South Wales) needs hundreds of construction workers to finish various home and building projects. There are job openings for sheet metal fabricators, carpet and vinyl floor finishers, machinists, aluminum window fabricators or blazers, boilermakers, welders, carpenters, plumbers, painters, and building electricians. Civil, industrial and mechanical engineers are also in-demand.

 

Cleary said, “The Filipino workers who would be accepted to Australia would be given work permits for duration of one to three years. The workers would be qualified to apply for an immigrant status after a one-year residency.

 

Aside from construction-related jobs, Cleary also disclosed that there is also a need for agricultural workers and oil exploration personnel.

 

According to Cleary, "Caltex Australia, among the largest oil production companies in the world, has issued job orders calling for the recruitment of highly skilled personnel in oil exploration such as petroleum inspectors, mechanical piping personnel, drilling engineers, geologists, and autocad specialists."

 

Meanwhile in New Zealand, there is a need for highly-skilled personnel in oil and exploration and production projects such as petroleum, inspection, mechanical piping, operations, drilling engineers, geologists and autocad specialists.
