Australia is well aware that they need to cope with the labor shortages in some of their thriving industries to keep their economy booming.
For this reason, Australia is still looking for more skilled workers to fill in the demand. Engineers, welders, fabricators, butchers, agricultural workers, etc are just some of the jobs that one can apply for in Australia.
Australian ambassador to the Philippines, Tony Hely said "Australia has long-term skill shortages because of a wide range of industries and those skills are abundant in the Philippines."
Hely hopes that more overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) would be deployed in Australia in the coming years. Australian embassy records show that 3,500 out of 6,000 Filipinos who migrated to Australia are skilled workers.
The main requirements for skilled workers to Australia are the following: minimum of 4 years work experience, at least high school graduate, or have completed a course in vocational or technical school.
Every year, Australia accepts almost 200,000 immigrants from all over the world.
