Butlers are responsible in supervising the over-all chores in hotel or cruise. They observe the cleanliness, the food and drinks and all operation that involves service.
Basic Tasks:
Supervise the operation for room service, food and beverage and other concerns of guests.
Give designated direction, orders and tasks to workers.
Observe the workers on how they perform their tasks.
Assist domestic employees with their tasks.
Give further announcements, meetings, memorandums to employees
Assist customers with their needs and demands.
Make reservations, orders and other important matters.
Train employees.
Give disciplinary actions or terminate employees.
Education and Training Requirements:
Graduate of Hotel and Restaurant Management or taken vocational/training course in Hotel/ Hospitality Management.
High School graduate with broad experience as a butler are also welcome to apply
Must have at least 3-5 years experience working in a hotel/cruise
Salary Information:
Overseas Employment:
Maldives- USD450 or PhP21, 363 a month
Macau, China- CNY8, 648 or PhP59, 920 a month
US- USD32, 722 or PhP1, 553, 476 per annum
Skills and Competency Requirements:
Must have wide knowledge in customer service
Must have wide knowledge in hotel management.
Wide knowledge in supervising the entire hotel/cruise/club works.
Knowledge in different tasks that will further teach and pass to employees.
Ability to train and evaluate under training laborers.
Ability to guide employees, teaching and giving them directions.
Must be keen and little bit meticulous to details.
Must be courteous to guests.
Ability to supervise hotel chores, like room service, food and drinks, and the demands of customers.
Ability to do multi tasking.

Working Environment:
The entire hotel/cruise is the working place of Butlers, since their main task is to supervise the whole errands. Butlers often face pressure especially if there’s a lot of demand coming from the guests and that employees need to work double time. Butlers do a lot of multi-tasking in order to meet customer’s demand.
Working Hours:
Butlers work in shifting schedule; they work for about 8 to 10 hours a day/night.

Butler’s promotion will depend on the length of service and experience, deserving butlers will be promoted as Hotel/ Cruise Manager.
