Barbers provide good customer services by properly cutting, trimming, reconstructing and designing hair according to client’s demands. Modern barbers also include facial and half body massage to clients.
Basic Tasks:
Barber cuts, trim and construct hair using scissors, razors, blow driers, comb and other barber equipments
Shave beards using razor equipments.
Give relaxation massage to customers.
Inform customers with the salon package and promos.
Prepare the billing receipts to the customers
Suggest suitable haircuts and massages.
Open conversation topics to customers to eliminate boredom.
Education and Training Requirements:
Must have taken and finished short courses in Hair Dressing and any related course.
High School graduates are also welcome to apply but must have experience.
Must have at least 2-5 years experienced as Barbers.
Salary Information:
Local Employment:
Barbers receives a minimum wage of PhP360 per day.
Overseas Employment:
Kuwait- KWD128.00 or PhP21, 430 per month
US- USD2, 150 or PhP102, 232 per month
Skills and Competency Requirements:
Must have wide variety of knowledge in hair cut designs.
Knowledge and ability to do different hair cuts.
Must know how to gently shave beard using razors and lathers.
Knowledge in using hair cut equipments such as scissors, trimmers, razors, blowers, and other equipments.
Know how to do different massages.
Must have good customer service skills.
Must have good communication skills.
Can open good conversation to customers.
Employment Opportunities:

Work Environment:
Barbers has a very good and pleasant workplace. They used to stay in a fully air conditioned salons since they offer grooming and relaxation services.

Barbers work for 8 hours a day.
Career Advancement:
Barbers can be promoted as Senior Barber or Salon Manager in the long run of good performance and commitment. They can also put up their own salon after retirement.
