Florist designs, arranged, cuts and decorates floral presentations for clients. They design flower arrangements from special occasions to flower bouquets.
Basic Tasks:
Cut, arrange and decorate flowers according to trend and customer demand.
Store flowers in a cold storage to maintain its beauty.
Receive and encode orders and request of clients.
Make floral presentations to be shown on prospect clients.
Communicate with clients regarding with their request and orders.
Communicate with party/wedding planners (For special occasions)
Keep order slips and receipts.
Administrate other employees on their job.
Inform clients with their billing statements.
Inform and suggest clients with suitable flowers.
Educational and Training Requirements:
Must be a graduate of any four year or 2 year course preferably in flower Arranging
2-5 years experience as a florist
Salary Information:
Local Employment:
Local florist receives local wage of PhP360.00 a day.
Overseas Employment:
Saudi Arabia- SAR1, 400 or PhP17, 693 a month
US- USD29, 000 or PhP1, 372,570 per annum
Australia- AUD36, 438 or PhP1, 187,830 per annum
Skills and Competency Requirements:
Must have variety of knowledge in flowers.
Knowledge and ability to cut, arrange, decorate.
Knowledge in floral presentation.
Must have the ability to communicate with clients.
Know the proper caring of flowers.
Know basic bookkeeping
