Job Description of Auto Spray Painter

Nature of Job:

Auto Spray Painter is a blue collar job that usually works in an automobile company. Their expertise includes spray painting automobile, machines and other products with the use of different color paints and materials.

 

Basic Tasks:

  • Spray paint automobiles, machines and other products.
  • Balancing and layering colors
  • Clean grease and dirt in the auto mobile
  • Selecting and mixing colors to match the vehicle’s color.
  • Sanding, filling and chiseling vehicle as part of it’s preparation
  • Masking areas that are not included to be painted
  • Communicate with the head officer or client about their preferred colors and design.

 

Education and Training Certificate:

  • Must be a graduate of vocational course in Auto Spray Painting or any related course
  • Must have at least 2-3 years experience in the same field.

 

Salary Information:

Local Employment:

Auto Spray Painters receive a minimum salary of PhP380.00 a day.

 

Overseas Employment:

  • Australia- AUD43, 440 or PhP1, 338,295 per annum.
  • USA- USD33, 000 or PhP1, 566,675 per annum

 

Skills and Competency Requirements:

  • Must have wide knowledge and skills in auto spray painting
  • Knowledge in mixing variation of colors
  • Knowledge and ability to spray balance colors
  • Knowledge and ability to use spray materials
  • Must have taste in choosing colors and design
  • Knowledge in sanding, filling and chiseling vehicles.
  • Must have good communication skills
