Bank Tellers served as the mediator between the bank and the customer regarding their accounts concern. They manage deposit, withdrawal, dollar, savings account and other concerns.
Basic Tasks:
Process the concern of the customers on their accounts.
Assist customers regarding their billing problems.
Receive and give money/cheque to the customers
Count the money before giving to the customers
Validate the originality of cheques
Make transactions
Encode the transactions through the database
Keep receipts and other official documents
Education and Training Requirements:
·Must be a graduate of Accountancy, Banking and Finance and other related course.
·Must have at least 2-3 years experience as a bank teller
Salary Information:
Local Employment:
Bank Teller receives PhP10-12, 000 a month.
Overseas Employment:
US- USD24, 983 or PhP1, 200,058 per annum
Singapore- SGD1, 900 or PhP59, 760 a month
Australia- AUD35, 562 or PhP1, 113,064 per annum.
Skills and Competency Requirements:
Must have knowledge in banking industry.
Must have the knowledge and ability to handle various accounts
Must know how to use computer and bank devices
Knowledge in managing problems regarding customer’s accounts, statements and other concerns
Must have basic knowledge in accounting and mathematics
Can communicate well with the customers
Trustworthy and can keep confidentiality.
