More Health Workers Needed in UK

There are employment opportunities waiting for Filipino workers in Europe as United Kingdom (UK) is still experiencing labor shortage in their several industries. The UK Home Office recently announced its government-approved occupation shortage list and it shows that UK is mostly in need of workers for their health sector.
Healthcare professionals that are in-demand in UK includes nurses, dentists, and senior care workers. Aside from the health workers, The UK also have job openings for chefs, civil and chemical engineers, teachers, etc.
Labor attaché of the Philippine embassy in UK, Atty. Jainal Rasul Jr. said, "That would mean allowing UK employers to directly recruit foreign workers from outside the UK and EU. This is good for Filipinos especially in the field of health care sectors."
As of this writing, job orders for the follwing have been confirmed by the Embassy, 160 job orders for nurses, 20 for pipe fitters and 50 for chefs.
The embassy estimates that job vacancies that need to be filled in UK would reach 800,000 in the next few years.
