POEA Announces Registration and Exam Schedules of EPS-Korean Language Test

After an announcement from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) that the registration for the Employment Permit System- Korean Language Test (EPS-KLT) would happen this month, the government agency finally release details about the registration as well as the actual examination dates.

 

Exam Date and Time: May 2, 2010 (Sunday), 10:30am to 11:40am

 

Orientation of Examinees: 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.

Test Time: 10:30am to 11:40am

 

Note: Examinees must be at the designated test venue by 9:30am for the orientation. Late examinees will not be allowed to enter the venue or to take the test.

 

Available Type of Industry: Manufacturing Industry

 

All applicants of the 6th KLT must choose “MANUFACTURING” in the type of

industry. Selection of other industry is not allowed. The expected number of passers is 5,000 meaning 5,000 examinees will be selected based on the test result among those who scored 80 points and above (Full score: 200 points).

 

Test Venue: POEA promise to announce the rest venues on April 26, 2010.

 

Qualifications for KLT Registration

  • Must be between 18 and 38 years of age based on the KLT Examination date
  • Must not have any record of conviction or imprisonment for a heinous crime
  • Must have no record of deportation or departure orders from the Republic of Korea
  • Must not be restricted from departure from the Philippines
  • Must be physically and medically fit
  • At least a high school graduate
  • With minimum work experience of 1 year
  • Must be e- Registered with active status in the POEA Manpower Registry as of March 31, 2010

Dates: April 6,7 and 8 (Tuesday –Thursday)

Important Information:

 

Applicant must register only in the registration venue where he/she want to take the test and they should apply personally.

 

Required documents: KLT Registration Application form (To be distributed at the registration venue), Application numbers are written on each application form. Each applicant receives and submits one application form only, use correction tape in correcting errors, Valid Passport or ID card (Reduced copy of passport or ID card 12cmx6cm must be attached on application form), 2 pcs. Passport size (pictures taken within 6 months), Employment Certificate and High school/college diploma (original and photocopies), Test fee: P810 (local currency equivalent to US$17).

 

No refund will be entertained after registration period. (However, re-application after

cancellation is not allowed).

 

Announcement of Test Result Announcement Date: May 18, 2010

 

Other Information

EPS-KLT certificate for those who passed will be distributed by POEA after seven

(7) days from the announcement of test result in POEA website (May 25, 2010)

 

If there are discrepancies in information especially in the name and date of birth

Passing the EPS-KLT does not guarantee employment in Korea but only inclusion

on the available list of jobseekers available for employment.

 

Those who fail to pass the medical examination, has record of illegal stay in Korea, cannot be selected as job seekers.
