The 4th Job Fair @ the Mega, A Success
Oct 19, 2004
The 3-day Job Fair proved to be successful as hundreds of job seekers crammed into the SM Megatrade Hall 3 from October 15 to 17, 2004.
The event was all about helping job seekers.
True to its theme, Trabaho Para sa Bawat Filipino, it expanded its client base as agencies in search of job designations such as security guards, janitors, domestic helpers, and messengers were also included aside from the usual corporate slots from various companies.
Fill up areas where anyone could comfortably fill out company application forms were also put up. If hunger pangs struck, food stations were situated conveniently in one section of the hall. And as many job opportunities lined across the place, one could also photocopy or print some more copies of their resumes or purchase any necessary office supplies.
Finally, for follow up or updates on their application, job seekers need only visit the companies’ websites or simply through text messaging certain providers.
WorkAbroad.ph, a Silver Sponsor of this event, provided assistance to numerous applicants wanting to work overseas and has distributed 8,000 flyers. Many job seekers looked through lists of job opportunities overseas and were keen on getting their own updates on the latest job listings.
“The 4th Job Fair at the Mega” is presented by Island Exhibit Organizer Link, Jobstreet.com, and trabahaho.com; in cooperation with Job Finder, Metaza Collections, Megatrade Hall, and WorkAbroad.ph. Also brought to you by Link2Support, Institute of Youth Studies, Sykes, Mindgate Systems, Inc., Teleperformance, Daksh, and jobsonline.com.ph.
We would like to thank everyone who participated and we do hope that the event reaps its rightful fruits as everyone's success.
