New UK Law to Deny Illegal Immigrants with Major Services

According to the law, illegal immigrants will undergo compulsory immigration checks prior to access to:
- private rented houses
- driving permissions
- establishment of bank accounts
Once proven that they are illegaly staying in the UK, they will be denied access to such.
Also, the Immigration Act will deal with the following:
- Clamping down on people who try to gain an immigration advantage by entering into a sham marriage or civil partnership
- Requiring private landlords to check the immigration status of tenants, preventing those with no right to live in the UK from accessing private rented housing
- Introducing a new requirement from temporary migrants with time-limited immigration status by requiring them to make a financial contribution to the National Health Service
- The passage of the bill into law was met by crticism as it may foster discrimination and inequality towards foreign national who migrated to UK.
The United Kingdom has been vigilant in tightening its immigration policies due to its fast growing number of migration, making the national budget insufficient for all the residents staying in the UK.
