How to Renew Passport in Riyadh

  Nov 9, 2015

The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh encourages all OFWs to schedule an appointment first with the Consular Section for renewal of their passport.

To book an appointment:

  1. Go to ePassport Appointment System. If it is your first time, register for an account by filling up the needed information. Or login with your email address and password if you’ve registered before.

  2. Choose your preferred date and venue for your appointment. Do not forget this.

  3. Print out the confirmation receipt.

On the day of your schedule:

  1. Report to the Embassy or venue 15 to 30 minutes before your appointment.

  2. Bring your old passport, a photocopy of the passport’s data page, and copy of your confirmation receipt.

  3. Pay the fee for the renewal of passport. Keep the official receipt.

To know if your new passport is ready for release:

  1. Visit the embassy’s website or  their Passport for Release page every week to check on updates for batch of new passports coming.

  2. Enter your last name, first name and middle name in the search box and click on the ‘Search’ button. In case you don’t have a middle name, simply put space.

  3. If after two months your passport is not yet release, write a letter to consular@philembassy-riyadh.org to follow-up the status of your passport renewal.

To claim your new passport:

  1. Bring the old passport and the official receipt.

  2. If the passport owner cannot personally claim, a signed authorization letter should be given by the representative.

Remember:

  • It takes six to eight weeks before the new passport arrives from the Philippines.

  • Holidays, natural calamities and problems encountered during the production of new passports may affect or delay its shipment and release from the Embassy.

  • All passports not claimed for six months or more after the date of issuance will be cancelled.

  • Unclaimed passports within the past six months or more may call the Consular Section at 01-482-3816 for assistance.
