4 Simple Ways To Get Recruited Faster

  Jul 19, 2018

In today’s time just getting a good qualification is not enough. The level of competition is so high that often people after completing their education find themselves struggling to score a job. There are a large number of people applying for jobs which are not enough to accompany all.

If you too are looking for a job or are planning to switch from your current job and have been struggling to find a way to get yourself out there read on to find some tips to help you get recruited.

Let’s Get Recruited – Easy to follow tips

1)    Your resume needs to be up to date

If you haven’t applied for a job in a long time or haven’t had the need to send it out, it might be outdated. It is absolutely crucial to keep updating your resume from time to time, as when you apply for a new job and suddenly have to update your resume it can be a lengthy, time consuming and overwhelming procedure.

2)    Network, Network, Network

Sometimes applying for a job does not only include job application. Finding a good job also requires networking. Networking is so important to stay in the loop of your field of work. Attending networking events and workshops, keeping in touch with people in your field outside of workspace and maintaining a good relationship with them can help you know about any upcoming job availabilities or any new projects. That’s why we cannot stress how important networking is!

3)    Relevant skills

What do recruiters look in a candidate before deciding to hire them? Their experience possibly and more importantly the candidate’s skills. Hence, it is an absolute must to keep your skills up to date. Digital technology is constantly changing and upgrading. You must make sure that you are aware of these changes and the relevant skills you require in your field are known by you.

You can do this by going through the skill sets section in relevant jobs which are advertised. Attending workshops, seminars and classes for skills you feel need updating is a good idea.

4)    Go social

There are various platforms available to job hunters today where they can make themselves visible to recruiters.

Job Nexus is one such company which provides a great platform for candidates and helps them get their resume to many recruiters all at once. You must create your own social media accounts on platforms like LinkedIn etc. You can even create your own website which can prove to be useful to make yourself more visible on these social platforms

We understand that not finding a job even though you obtain the right skills and qualifications can be extremely frustrating and exhausting. However, if you follow these tips it will definitely help you increase your chances of getting an opportunity to get recruited. In a world where everyone is rushing forward to fight for the same jobs, even a small advantage can help you get ahead and land your dream job!
