My Story

1. Why did you decide to leave the Philippines?
To uplift my standard of living as well as my mother, brother and sisters whom I wanted to extend my assistance to them.

2. When did you arrive in your current location?
April 22, 1983

3. What were your most memorable moments in your current location?
When I was promoted as Safety Manager of the company.

 

4. Tell us what has happened during your stay in this country you have worked in.
When I started my job as a Training Instructor, Idont really know the Arabic Language and Arabic Culture, so I have to learn the basic language and abide the rules and regulation and laws of the host country without reservation, and they like my attitude and perseverance so they recognized it and elevated me as Chief for Operations.

5. What are the things that you miss about the Philippines?
The close family ties most especially during week-ends where we gathered together and have some fun with our family members, and outing on the beaches and resort for swimming, I really missed it a lot.

6. What is your message to all OFWs around the world?
All OFW's regardless of tribes and religion must abide the culture. traditions and belief of the host country because this is  a sign of respect and love to the host country, because I believed that once you respect and love other people, no reason why they will not extend to you also in return, and the bottom line is love and respect your neighbors as you do to yourself.
