The Industrial Personnel and Management Services, Inc. (IPAMS), a respected Manila-based recruitment agency, with the coordination of Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO) is having a provincial tour that aims to bring overseas jobs close to provincial residents.

Through their provincial tours, applicants from remote provinces don’t have to travel in Manila to process their application. It would be IPAMS that will come to the area to find qualified applicants.

Recently, IPAMS’ Assistant to the President and Project Coordinator Jay Coska went to Iloilo to personally orient the first 14 lucky applicants for Dubai Duty Free (DDF), one of the most popular destinations for Filipino workers. The 14 applicants will be flying in Dubai this coming August. Added to that, there will be another 35 aspiring DDF applicants will be deployed by November or December this year.

Nic Bruwer, DDF Human Resource Manager, did a personal interview with the applicants from Iloilo weeks before the orientation. Another name behind the DDF are two Filipinas, they are Mrs. Ester Basug, Shop and Food Manager, and Miss Andea Lorenzo, HR Assistant for six years now.

"We are looking to Iloilo as another potential area for recruitment," says Coska during their visit in the province.

The next stop of IPAMS will be in Cebu on July 10-11 and Ormoc on July 13-14. They will be recruiting for some flight attendants for Emirates Airlines.
