The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Saipan offers a Basic English class for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). And they are still in search for OFWs who want to participate in the class.

The class, according to Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) officer , Leonor Mabagal is held for seven Saturdays from 2pm to 5pm. It will be facilitated by the University of the Philippines Alumni Association-NMI Chapter founder Fe Calixterio and more students are needed before the class begins.

There are 27 OFWs and community members avail of the Basic Baking course being held at the Filipino Workers Resource Center of the Marianas Business Plaza in Susupe.

Citing their records, a total of 146 Filipino workers who took advantage of the free upgrade skills training graduated in April. There are 24 graduates of Basic Computer Operations in Class batch 37 while there are 26 graduates at batch 38. Basic Sewing Class Batch 14 had 18 graduates and 35 OFWs finished the Basic Nihongo Class in Batch 18.

Batch 4 of Culinary Arts Class had 30 graduates and 16 graduates of English Developmental Class.
