Taiwan Health Certificate Requirements Revised

The Department of Health of Taiwan has recently revised the health certificate requirements for foreign workers applying for Taiwan working visas.
Urine tests for morphine, amphetamine and marijuana are no longer required in the health certificate according to Representative Hsin Hsing Wu, Ph. D. of the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in the Philippines.
The tests required, as specified in the ‘Items Required for Health Certificate,’ are serological tests for HIV and syphilis, hepatitis-B surface antigen test, chest x-ray for tuberculosis, stool examination for parasites, pregnancy test, and check-up for leprosy.
