Nature of Work:
A videographer is responsible in capturing and recording videos for party, wedding, anniversaries and other important gatherings. Videographer also works as part of the correspondence team that covers news, feature and documentaries for TV and Publication Companies.
Basic Tasks:

Capture and Record precious moments with the used video Camera and other equipments used in video recording.

Make sequence shots and other relevant shots.

Edit the video and put effects.

Communicate with clients regarding the scope of videos, place, and other concerns.

Communicate with the other correspondence (For News Videographer)
Education and Training Requirements:

Must be a graduate of any four year course or 2 year short course in photography, film video editing and any related course.

Must have at least 2-5 years experience in Videography.
Skills and Competency Requirements:

Must have knowledge in Video shooting.

Must have the ability to use different video cameras and other video recording tools.

Must have good taste in choosing locations and visual props.

Can shoot in different angles.

Can do video editing and can put effects.

Work Environment:
Videographers often do field works. They often work to cover private precious moments. On the other hand, Videographer or Cameraman for News Organization works in danger scenarios. They often cover press cons and dangerous incidents.
Videographers work for longer hours. They even stay for 24 hour especially for news correspondence. Private Videographers however, works depending on the length of the event to cover.
Career Advancement:
Videographer can be promoted as Video Editor or can put up their own Video/Phot Studio.
