Luckily Noel did not have a hard time in looking for a job. He applied for an overseas job posting he found at WorkAbroad.ph. He underwent a screening process with the agency that posted the job opening and because it was a 1-day hiring process, he was already offered a job before he went home that day.

Tejada is a founding member of the United Steelworkers' Independent Workers Association, a group of Philippine live-in caregivers, all struggling with cancer and immigration.
